Custom Automated Gate and Access Control System Design
Each project is customized to the uniqueness of the property and needs of the client:
Initial Consultation: To get started we’ll need to understand the scope of work involved, review any preliminary design ideas and establish a firm understanding of the desired functionality of the system. The scope of work includes a review of your property. Is the site flat or on a hillside? Do you have a circular driveway requiring two gates or is it a single entry? Do you want pedestrian gates added? Does a pre-fabricated or custom made gate fit what you need? Looking at your preliminary design ideas, what material are you considering using: Iron, Steel, Aluminum, Wood or a hybrid of these? Will other construction be taking place or is the automatic gate an independent project? After the design and functional requirements have been discussed we will take some preliminary measurements of your property, and prepare initial design ideas, along with a proposal. Sierra Gate and Control only installs UL325 listed equipment, and each installation is performed in compliance with all UL325 requirements per Nevada State Law.
Proposal: When the design consultation is completed, Sierra Gate and Control will put together a proposal. Because no two properties are exactly alike we take a holistic approach to the design phase. We look at every part of your property to make sure the final product is the right fit in both function and design. What is the most fitting type of gate for your property: For example, single or dual swing opening gate, single or dual slider? How will the elements of our area affect your gates, such as wind, snow and ice, and gate orientation? Using the information gathered we will determine the scope of materials and equipment for the structures required, the number of operators, wiring required for automating the gate, in-ground safety wiring, control devices and completing the installation. Once the entire project is defined, a written proposal will be presented.
Proposal Review:After presenting our proposal, either a telephone call or in-person conversation will take place to review questions and the overall project. If you are satisfied with our proposal we will establish a timeline for beginning and completing the work. If there are questions we will work through them until you are satisfied. Once approved, we will finalize any design changes on the gates themselves.
Project Completion:Once your project is complete, we will walk you through all the safety and functionality of your new gate system, making sure to answer any questions, and review and check off all safety mechanisms. We strongly encourage all family members, or users of the system to be part of this walk through.
